"I'm angry for her. You make it to 14 and osteo should no longer have to be a word you have to worry about." I am so very sorry for your loss, but, I am so happy that Jet picked you for hers that day. What a magical choice she made. I so understand the above. Scarlett was diagnosed when we thought she was 15 (she was 19) and all I could think was that at that, she should have been spared the osteo. 14 years is a wonderful run and you gave her a truly wonderful, love filled life. A life full of friendship and adventures. Lucky girl. Run free, pretty Jet.
  9. Lots of good thoughts for both Murphy and his nervous mom. If they are there 24/7 they may well let you visit him later in the evening.
  10. I am so very sorry. She sounds like a lovely, special girl. Run free, sweetheart.
  11. I started last summer and due to the heat, it was 1 liquid teaspoon per day, I never increased. When the colder weather came, it ended up being a tiny solid scoop as i ran the spoon through the hard coconut oil, am estimating that bumped her up to 2 teaspoons per day. I know a couple of weeks ago when i made slightly large scoops she got the big D so plan to stay at the lower dosage. She does like to use it as a teeth cleaner!
  12. My Morgaine was a jumper and kisser, and at close to 90 lbs, it was a bit much. She also had killer SA so my getting home was a big deal for her. I learned that as I got to the door and was unlocking it, I had to start to tell her "down" and then let myself in and turn my back. It was a gradual improvement but it did improve.
  13. Glad to hear things are seeming more optimistic. Aside from basic probiotics that you can get at health food stores, or Whole Foods/Trader Joes, I can't think of where to get any immediately. Hopefully, someone else will chime in.
  14. I am so very sorry that you and Betty have gone through such a horrible ordeal. I am keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers. Too many of us know the horror of a sudden, unexpected attack on an otherwise lovely walk.
  15. Robin, I am so sorry. I completely fell in love with Treasure at Grapehounds 2009. She was such a wonderful leaner and love bug. Run free, pretty Treasure.
