  1. Everyone must evaluate their own situation to determine that. For our circumstances, I believe my dogs are safer with visible ID at all times rather than going nekkid in the house. How I achieve that has varied with the dogs I have at any given time. Su wears a flat buckle collar with name & phone number embroidered on. All the tags are on her “going out” collar. I cannot count the number of times over the years that a dog has lost tags in the yard.
  2. We have two Messy Mutz water bowls. These have been the best for us & fit perfectly in the wooden food stands we always had. Unfortunately, it appears these are no longer available.
  3. Happy holidays & welcome, Blue & Bliv!! That boy would look stunning in a green collar or any other color. Hope the Foster period is short & adoption comes quickly. PS As someone with pet reptiles, when I read the word bluey I immediately think blue tongue skink. Your boy doesn’t look the least bit reptilian.
  4. Happy birthday!! That “cake” looks delicious (if you’re a dog)
  5. Oh goodness. So adorable, despite the tough life they are clearly enduring. 😁
  6. Yes, that would be how she got the name. When she first showed up she followed us on walks. Venus, my “cat workable” Greyhound was not yet safe with outdoor cats. She most of our 1 mile route walking backwards hoping to taste the cat behind us. BF said it would be like us being followed by a chocolate cake. Su is a sharp contrast. She tolerates everyone & nearly everything. She’ll chase a lure but won’t bite it when it stops. Su is the gentlest, friendliest dog I’ve ever had. That’s why I failed fostering her. Wow, that was just over 9 years ago.
  7. The image of the two of the tag teaming feline intruders lol
  8. It isn’t cold here, but Tasty Kitty has decided she needs a little extra warmth. Not sure how much she’s getting from skinny Sunita, but Su is Tasty’s favorite snuggle Buddy. Our ladies are getting older. Su is now 12 & Tasty is, well, we aren’t sure and she’s not telling, but she’s well into her teens.
  9. 8 is the best hounding age, IMUO (in my unhumble opinion) Though Ms Sunita says she keeps getting better with age & her age is... eh hmm... let’s just say she’s well past 8. Annie, around here birthdays last for weeks. Make sure your human gets that message. 🎉
  10. I’m not much for advertising brands, but that plate is perfect!
  11. Wow, he’s a real looker. I’m surprised they don’t stopped the game to stare at him.
  12. Haven’t had a Grey do that but one mutt did. Have had Greys who tucked things up under their bed. Missing something? Look under a dog bed. Things weren’t chewed, just stashed for safe keeping.
  13. My sister had fencing like that. Only one dog went through it, a staghound puppy I referred to as my 2 dimensional dog. The greys couldn’t go through it & my greys gave all been on the small side. I would recommend the black plastic netting suggested by others. It would be a very easy add on. It only needs to be 36” high to serve the purpose. That would put everyone’s mind at ease & prevent the possibility of a dog getting us head stuck. In 15 years, none of my greys has jumped our 4 ft fence. The only dog that has was a lurcher who was mostly Tazi. Any of our greys were more than capable of jumping the fence. They’ve just never choosen to do so.
  14. Where is his footrest? Get the boy a footrest!
