dante2zoe
I am so sorry. I don't know if a muscle relaxer would have the same effect, system-wise, as the NSAIDs. Those are really hard on the gut, which could cause the bloody stool. Brady has a host of issues and Robaxin (the muscle relaxer) has given him some good quality time. We have just started a NSAID for him because this &^&()* winter is so very hard on him. I hope you get some positive reaction from your vet. In any case, you are and have been on my mind as you continue to do what is best for Missy. dbullwinkel
Thank you. I spoke with the head vet in the group. He said it sounds like nerve inpigment in her neck. He saidi could try valium as a muscle relaxer. Start with 5mg twice a day..I have it from my Ig...may need to go to ten. he reassured me whatever decision I make... 14 1/2 is a great age...especially for a dog who as had LS for many years... fliggie
When I told my vet, who is an OSU grad, that Sam was 13, she told me that was fantastic and that he obviously was well loved and well cared for. 14 and a 1/2...remarkable. Whatever decision you make will be hard. Do what you think is best for you & your friend. Quote My Photojournal
Guest scousejude
I chose the time when we could have one last, quiet weekend together to make some special memories - and then went to the vets. Hugs, on your tough decision. Yes - one day too early much better than one day too late. xoxoxo

You're so welcome, it seems we have been on the same journey with our elderly hounds. I wish I could help with a picture, but I have little luck with them lately also.
