greg1229 Posted March 13, 2011 Share Posted March 13, 2011 Today (Sun. 3/13) marks 2 years since my heartgirl Isis crossed the bridge due to the Big C. She was my first in a series of greyhounds to know me as Dad or more likely as the Food Guy.. She had 13 good years on this Earth 9 of those were an even better life as the princess of the Magic Foster House. Now she rests on my mantle with her favorite collar, watching over me and all the hounds that have come through on their way to new homes. No matter what happens or how I feel, Isis always has that special place in Daddymans heart. Here's to you sweet Isis..Someday we will see each other again and you will have my shoulder to lay your head on to fall asleep. In a few months it will be eight years since we lost our first hound Emma, not a day goes by that I don't think of her. We lost two hounds last year Dusty and Poppie, a total . People say that they are lucky to be adopted by us....but I feel blessed every day (even in dealing with loss) that we were adopted by them.
