Guest loveagrey Posted February 17, 2011 Share Posted February 17, 2011 Hi everyone - For those that might remember my beautiful grey Trap and myself, I just wanted to pass on news of his passing. Trap was diagnosed with cancer in November of last year, and we let him go 2 weeks ago. We noticed a small lump on his chest that seemed to be attached to his ribs. It was a very aggessive cancer, and it the 3 months between his diagnosis and his passing, the mass grew extremely fast. There was nothing we could do for him as it was not only growing outwards, but up in between his ribs to his heart and lungs. When he stopped eating and couldn't get up without help, we knew it was time to let him go. He was his happy, goofy self until 4 days before he died. He played, walked, ate, slept and loved like nothing was wrong. On the Thursday morning, it was obvious that his comfort was quickly diminishing, and we made the painful decision to help him on his way. I miss my baby boy like crazy and I still turn around expecting him to be behind me looking for a scratch, a hug or a treat. Love'em while you've got'em, cause they can go so quickly. It does get easier though. We can now tell stories about him and laugh instead of laugh then cry. I hope you find solace in the memories too.
