Guest Diablo
Since I had a couple of rotten weeks, some really, really bad news and losing one of my girls on friday , I thought I needed to cheer myself up. There has been a cute little face that has been haunting me for 4 or 5 months on the net  , and the poor boy still isn't reserved for adoption, so I think what the heck, he's gonna be mine . Info on Kerry Greyhound Connection site: George is an 8 year old ex-racing greyhound. George came to us in a very poorly state, covered in dirt and fleas. Several baths and bowls of food later, he is now a different dog and a real eye catcher. We recently found George a new home but the poor boy was only in his new home for 2 weeks when his owner became ill and is now unable to care for him, so we have taken George back into foster care while we search for a new home for him. Could you offer Gorgeous George a comfy sofa? George is a lovely, easy going boy who adores people. George always has a waggy tail for you and hops about in front of you waiting for a fuss when he knows you have come to see him. His favourite thing of all is ear rubs! He is a quirky little lad and loves to ruffle his bed up and lay down on top of it like a cherry on a cake! Gorgeous George is now in foster care where he is relishing the joys of home comforts for the very first time in his life. He enjoys his food with gusto, though it has to be softened for him as the dear chap only has 8 teeth left to munch with! He is clean in the house and settles well over night, although he is an early riser. George travels well and likes to air his ears with his head out of the window! George walks well on the lead and to heel. Like most greyhounds, George will not need a huge amount of exercise. He will be content with two 30 minute walks a day and perhaps a chance to stretch his legs offlead in a secure area once or twice a week. George's basic recall is coming on and he can go off lead for a run. George is good with all dogs - large and small, but is not cat friendly. He does get excited when dogs run past him and he can't get off to play with them, but this soon settles. George would be suited to a quiet family with older children and maybe another dog for company. He is a very easy dog to have, content with the simple comforts of life, and is sure to make someone a very special companion. He will be comming to live with me in january (papers and pasport take a while to prepare to come to the main land) Meet Georgie Boy !! oooooooooooooh those ears looks kinda big, but so cute oooohw who wouldn't melt for this pretty face  Isa

Guest Diablo
Thanks, thanks. :blush I really don't understand why this beautiful boy still hasn't found his forever home. I think he is beautiful  , and as I read all your replies ,it seems I'm not the only one. So what's the problem? his age? because he has almost no teeth left? so what! doesn't he deserve a comfy sofa for the rest of his life? go figure! I know it might seem soon, that I'm adopting a new one after losing my Sabrosa very, very recently. But that doesn't mean I've already forgotten her, absolutly not. my heart is still aching for her, I'm still calling her when it's chow time or when the dogs are outside. I'm just trying to fill the void she's leaving. maybe not the best way, but my dogs are my life, I don't have any one else
Jenbo
"I'm just trying to fill the void she's leaving. maybe not the best way" I disagree -- you are honoring her memory by opening your heart and home to a needy gorgeous pup. Good for you! And this really IS the best way to do it.
