Riley has been back and forth all day, sure is hard to know what to do. One minute he is walking around wagging his tail, he even went belly up as he saw me walking in the room, wagging his tail in hopes for a belly rub. But then he has the panting episodes. The house has only been 63 degrees or so all day, and he pants so hard. One time I looked over at him and he looked like he was having a vestibular episode, but it turns out it was him breathing very hard without panting that was making him do that. I fed the boys dinner, and Riley was excited and ate 75% of his food. Maybe the new med is helping him get better and he will be all better tomorrow, or maybe something new is going on with the cancer that is about to make him very miserable. I dont want to help him pass on a day too late ya know?

Sending prayers for Riley. I hope he's feeling better tonite. :hope:dogcookie

Edited to say I just saw your post EmilyAnne. That's good that Riley had 75% of his meal, such a good boy. :heart

EmilyAnne,on the sulfracate,I've noticed a couple of times on the forum that vets may not have gone over that it really should be given as what's called "a slurry". All that means, which you may know already, but just in case, all that means is that a teeny bit of water is added to the pill. I mean a tiny bit, like half a cc.

It's not to be crushed at all,the few drops of water are added on top of it.

The pill will puff out. Kind of like those sponges you buy flat, then they expand with water.

Just want to mention that as an in case.

I'm not sure if your sweet boy will take that from a syringe tho'.

Sending prayers that the medication gives Riley some more quality time with you.

I almost missed this. Sending hugs to both you and Riley. Praying this new stomache med helps.

Riley still hasnt vomited since starting the Sulfracate, but his appetite is still weak. He ate about just under half his breakfast. Still wait and see...
