Burpdog
The vet also mentioned the possibility of a fungal infection or osteomyelitis. But we won't know without a biopsy A fine needle biopsy is not bad if you reconsider your options in the near future. Sending lots of prayers -- have some good days! ShantisMom
I am so sorry. Can they pull some fluid from a lymph node? The oncologist did that to Shanti. That is how Shanti's confirmation came about. The VF cells were found in there. Her xrays looked horrid. Her chest xrays were the scariest. Or can they give her some medicine to for the other to see if it will improve a bit? I know it is grasping at straws, but I do that. We will keep you guys in our prayers. BootsyCollins
I'm so sorry. This is very similar to the experience we went through with Argos last fall. We also opted out of further treatment. Pain management is key! We had Argos on a combination of tramadol and rimadyl. Please PM me if you have questions or need support. Or just want to rant. Christie and Bootsy (Turt McGurt and Gil too) Loving and missing Argos & Likky, forever and ever. ~Old age means realizing you will never own all the dogs you wanted to. ~

Thank you all for all of your kind words and suggestions. Based on Matty's age it's probably cancer. She's a new england dog, so VF is unlikely, as much as I wish that weren't the case If the situation were slightly different, I would be grasping at those straws too! I think I knew when she wasn't able to jump in the car yesterday. That dog is spring loaded...that's never happened before. I'm just stunned right now. How can she be dying? She seems so so normal, aside from that very slight limp.
