Finally Some Positive News!

Recommended Posts

We ran some blood work on Shanti. A drug saturation and panel. I am thrilled to say we are making some positive progress!!! She is tolerating the medicine well. All her levels are great still. And we have finally hit the proper drug saturation! It took 8 months, a few medicine and dose changes, but we got it!!! YIPPEE!!! We will rerun the Valley Fever Titer in May to see if that has changed now that we got the medicine flowing right. :D

A small stride, but I am celebrating!!!

Oh, that's just great news. I cannot imagine all that you've gone through (like Claudia with Misty), the roller coaster ride. It seems like there may well be light at the end of the tunnel. Give Shanti a BIG hug, and you need to celebrate, too!

I actually have backed her down on the pain killers too. She is doing really well on the lower dose. A whole new dog. Playful, awake. :P She is putting her right leg down when standing still which is new. She still won't use it in motion, and probably won't ever. But it is working as a "kick stand". It means it is feeling better which makes me SO HAPPY!
