We had a foster dog who had one toe pad that was wonky like that. Vets never did figure it out, just said it was hyperkeratinization and that was that. Interpretation: chronic moderate to severe footpad hyperkeratosis with mild secondary pyoderma No indication of viral papilloma (told you the derm vet was a waste of time and money), pemphigus foliaceous or any type of autoimmune process. Other than knowing she needs to go on antibiotics for the bacterial infection, I'm not sure what..... Ohio State consulted.... Chiropractor coming tomorrow. Diane, I'm sure I've got little to offer you in the way of medical advice, and I have no idea what pyoderma is, but wanted to pass on that the Kerasolv gel that Dr. Radcliffe gave me for Neyla's bad toe did do wonders for the keratinization on that pad when I was using it regularly. I don't think my regular vet was familiar with it, so I thought I'd mention it. Sending good thoughts to Mizzy - tell her to take it easy, running on two legs, sheesh!
