win4profit Posted December 31, 2008 Share Posted December 31, 2008 We saw the specialist today and it's not his leg at all. It is a very well developed tumor. He suspected cancer right after his initial exam. We consented to another X-ray and the mass was visible. We didn't want to believe our eyes so we had an ultrasound done to be sure. It is very near his spine and the doctor figures that the tumor is pressing against the nerves that travel down his leg. This also explains his lack of appetite. We had ourselves convinced that the appetite was due to the meds. Talk about being blindsided, we never saw this coming. We have precious little time left with him. I know on the inside that it is best to let him go two days too soon than one day too late, but right know I just want to hug and cuddle him.
