It hurts...I know how much it hurts....with time, it will get easier, but there will always be moments where the pain is sharp and fresh and almost unbearable. But we grieve deeply because we love deeply. He had a wonderful life with you, and you were blessed with 2 glorious years in which to know him, love him, and give him everything he deserved. Guest MZH Posted May 8, 2008 Share Posted May 8, 2008 Wow, I just saw this tribute. Every time I see Otis's photo(s) I fall in love with him. What a wonderful tribute to a very special boy. It's brought a lot of us to tears, I know. He was a couple weeks younger than our Cullen whom we lost on 3/2. Those two were in sync, that's for sure. They had very similar happy personalities. I always read this section to remind myself that this journey will come to an end in a few years time and I need to love up the pup as much as I can because the sad day will sometime be here for all of us and it is so hard to deal with. Your tribute was beautiful, and showed us a window into Otis's life with you- I gave my girl a special hug, and she is snuggled up right now next to me as we watched your slide show. I just noticed his Gotcha date - I knew there was a reason I felt so connected to him - that's our anniversary and also baby Gus' gotcha date! I know how much you still miss him - Angel Vinnie's 2 year date is just around the corner and there are still times I can close my eyes and feel him here with me. It still hurts.
