Ozziemydoggy
Thank you everyone for your encouraging words. I have contact Dr. Couto and while I can't send him anything specific, like grades, bloodwork, etc, I told him what I knew about the tumor and the little ones coming from it. Thank you Benson for your story. It's encouraging to hear that. Quote Argo and bridge babies Artemis, Icarus and Iris.

Ozziemydoggy
Well we got the labwork back. The tumor is grade 2 and that's about all I understand from the comments. We haven't been contacted by the vet about the referral yet so we're contacting them today. There is one thing on here that I don't understand: "Neoplastic cells extended directly to the deep and lateral speciman margins". Does anyone know what that means? There is one thing on here that I don't understand: "Neoplastic cells extended directly to the deep and lateral speciman margins". Does anyone know what that means? Yes, the margins aren't clear. the bad guys exist all the way to the edge of the sample they sent. a larger hole needs to be made below where the tumor was and to the sides. a general rule for safe removal of a cancerous tumor is three inches all the way 'round. Sorry, not what you wanted to hear, but to make sure they get it all, they'll have to take him back in to surgery and take out more tissue. Hopefully that does the trick.
