  1. I'm glad he's home. I hope he heals quickly and well. re the path report.
  2. I'm so sorry. Godspeed Muffers.
  3. It sounds like he's coming along nicely. I hope the progress continues to be steady and fairly quick (although I'm sure it seems agonizingly slow to you).
  4. I'm glad to hear he's doing well. Maybe soon he won't need to borrow your hand at meal times.
  5. I'm sorry. I hope she heals quickly and well.
  6. Oh, do I know that feeling. Although I did have it easier since Cora's femur was not sticking out of her leg. that the surgery goes smoothly, and that he heals quickly and well.
  7. I'm so sorry. What a horrible situation. Godspeed Monte.
  8. Congratulations!!! She's lovely.
  9. A few thoughts: - If she's on prednisone, she'll be drinking and peeing a lot. She might even become incontinent. - OVC will probably provide detailed instructions on meds, food, feeding times, exercise and so on. It's important to know about all of this stuff, and even more important to follow the instructions. If food sensitivities are contributing to her IBD, any deviation from the recommended diet could cause problems. (Assuming that the recommended diet is correct; they may still be experimenting.) So...no special treats. - Post-diagnosis progress can be very slow; it can be very hard not to be frightened and discouraged.
  10. What a mess. Poor Jamey. Poor you. I hope he recovers quickly and well, and enjoys a lot of happy time as a tripod.
  11. The first of these two looks like the Ruffwear Web Master. I got one for Cora when she came home with her repaired femur. I thought it did a better job supporting the front than the back. I'm not sure whether you could position it to avoid Riley's tumours.
  12. Oooo, she's very cute. Sort of a lighter version of Figgy. And she clearly loves kids. Just FYI, some time ago (a couple of years at least) a GTer wrote about "stuffies" made by putting plastic squeaky toys inside fleece car wash mitts. I've been doing that ever since. I've taught all 6 of my greys to retrieve using car wash mitt toys. They even like them when the squeaky toy is dead or missing. I think they enjoy the "shag" mitts like yours even more than the fleece. Either way, they're inexpensive and fun. I wish I could remember who it was who gave me the idea because I owe her a huge thank you.
  13. I used a sling with Cora when she returned home from the repair of her femur. It worked well for supporting--even lifting--her back end. I'm not sure how easy it would be to use on a male. When she was a bit steadier, I used the Ruffwear harness. It's excellent for providing extra support. It does sit a bit forward on the dog, and so is not quite as easy to use to lift the back end right up. (Perhaps if I'd needed to lift her back end, I'd have been able to do so by changing the adjustment or angle.)
  14. I'm glad he's coming home. I hope he recovers quickly and well.
  15. I'm so very sorry. She was much too young. Godspeed Paris.
