  1. This is a duplicate post. Respond to this one: http://forum.greytalk.com/index.php/topic/312300-allergies-to-new-greyhound/

  3. I think leaving your mention of it here is just fine.
  4. Mikey joined us at age 12.5. I had difficulty walking him as I've always had all my dogs walk on my left. When I let him walk on my right side he did great. Perhaps that's what his previous owner did.
  5. What good looking furkids! Especially the gray hairs on Pingu.
  6. Bumping to top? teri_d referenced this older thread in a current one in H&M.
  7. You moved mountains to help Huston and I know you would move a dozen more if it would make him healthy again. Huston was one in a billion.
  8. I'll be the downer here. Are you financially prepared to cover medical expenses if your boy hurts another dog? It just stinks that get blamed when little dogs don't stay on their side of the dog park.
  9. My friends have suggested Animal Ark in Clemmons and Hillsdale Animal Hospital in Advance. You should have gotten one of my Greyhounds Are Different medical reference cards when you got your adoption handbook at the kennel.
  10. I've emailed a GT member from W/S with a link to this thread.
  11. Crate door is open, yes? Don't rush him or over stimulate him. He's just had a whirlwind 24 hours. He's used to being surrounded by many dogs and now he's with you, an unfamiliar person and in a room full of new smells.
  12. Post your question on GFNC's Facebook page. We have a lot of adopters in Winston Salem. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Greyhound-Friends-Of-North-Carolina/81818668124 If that doesn't work for you, post back here. I'll try to find some Winston Salem greyhound folks for you.
  13. Was it bright red or dark red? Slimy stuff may have been mucousy stuff that kinda protects the bowel when irritated. My mutt girl Pudge had that frequently.
  14. Just pick it up. I don't think my dogs give it a second thought. Inside your apartment if you're worried about not knowing when your dog has to go out, just tether him/her to you so you'll learn when he/she is trying to signal you that they need go out.
  15. Can you gate him in your bedroom? That way you should hear if he's trying to tell you he needs to go out.
  16. You will find a lot of information here from other owners who have already traveled the same path: http://forum.greytalk.com/index.php/topic/305786-osteo-thread-part-8/
  17. The black dog in post #3 had lupus. Gracie had something similar, but the pink spot protruded. We had it biopsied and it was benign. (Sorry for the giant photo size - darn photobucket)
