  1. Savannah is not too terribly far from us here in SC! Of course, we do have Please!
  2. No, definitely not. Johnny tolerated the dog park a few times, until other dogs wanted to play dominance games and he just wanted to do his own thing, and now he can't stand most other dogs. He has a very few "buddies" at our condo's park that he will play with. He is snarky with other greyhounds, so I keep him muzzled during the "meet and sniff butts" phase of our local hound walks.
  3. Trust me, cats are secretly plotting your demise so they can eat you. That's why they try to trip you up all the time!
  4. Yep, I crush Johnny's up and put it in a peanut butter sandwich.
  5. I used the Seresto last year for Johnny, it worked very well at my parents' house who have a terrible tick problem. I also have four cats that like to share his bed, they suffered no I'll effects, and that's good enough for me.
  6. I'll agree with cutaneous horn. One of my Mom's cats gets one in just about the same place, he is long haired and his pad doesn't hit the ground where it could wear off. It is probably pretty tender, but some greys don't like their feet being messed with anyway.
  7. Was worth a try! Cats will often "pocket" the pill in their cheek, then slink off and spit it out.
  8. I tap my cat's nose or stroke his throat to get him to swallow his pills (he isn't fooled by Pill Pockets!), does that work on Jane?
  9. Johnny often waits till I'm out of the room to play with his hedgehog toy, he's such a weirdo!
  10. Yep, some dogs poop in plants, my Johnny is one. Has to get way up in the bush or plant to go poops--Pampas Grass is his favorite! For little pocket treats, I get Snausages or Canine Carry Outs and cut them with kitchen shears. Cheese sticks are good if you don't want a pocket full of cheese!
  11. My cat takes cyproheptadine for his mast cell --one of the side effects is "may increase appetite". So you may want to ask your vet if you can use that instead of the benadryl!
  12. Do you have a large Hispanic community? Their groceries stores should have it. Or maybe Amazon, they have everything!
  13. Hey, GC too! Johnny was fostered in Charlotte. We were at Beach Bound Hounds last year and are planning again this year. You have a lot of fellow owners around there.
  14. There are a bunch of us here in SC, what part of the state are you in? Which group did you go through?
  15. My Johnny kept going through spells of not eating breakfast, I think he just didn't like the canned food anymore. I got him some of those Beneful prepared meals in plastic tubs, he's been gobbling them right up! They have rice and veggies with the meat, and I know how much he loves rice--even though it does give him some gas.
  16. FYI--There is a k9 specific Petpectate that has the old school Kaolin and Pectate that you can get at the pet store. BUT please find out if there is something else going on first.
  17. OMG, I am ded from that goofy smile! Welcome from me and your Cuzzin Johnny!
  18. Hobby Lobby also lets you bring pets in. I've been in a few of those antique mall type places that you can bring your dog, some of them are HUGE!
  19. I think it's egg producing chickens that live in cages. We had several chicken houses around where I grew up; first they were Holly Farms (remember them??) and now they're Tyson. They get crammed in little cages on the back of trailer on the way to the plant.
