  1. Poor, poor Da Vid. This is so rough on him and on you. At least the prognosis on the paperwork said "good." If he can handle the salt, deli chicken has been known to entice dogs to eat. And tuna. Smelly things (hence the tripe).
  2. Maybe she thinks of the needles as just some good-feeling bling.
  3. Sending our best wishes for continued improvement. Way to go, Kato!
  4. Sending get-well-soon wishes to poor Social. A picture of him wearing the COS would be helpful for purely educational purposes.
  5. Romie ate one of those packs earlier this year. I only learned about it by seeing him barf some up out in the yard. He left enough of the packaging so I could find the company's toll-free number. I forget what the phone person said the gel was made of, but he said it was definitely non-toxic to dogs. I'll pass along his valuable advice: "If you get another one, just don't leave it where your dogs can get it." Nothing overtly suspicious happened to Romie, except some strange looking poop. I hope your pups have a similarly uneventful experience. Take a chill pack pill
  6. <<They do like them frozen.>> Turkey pops. Although they may be as large in bulk as a kibble meal, since they're so bony, remember that they're not the same nutritional make-up as kibble or a balanced homemade food. I give them as an extra to an otherwise small meal.
  7. Turkey necks and chicken feet? My gang is checking the GPS coordinates for your place.
  8. Scout's didn't bleed, they fell off (or he would pull them off). After fish oil, Vit E, niacinimide, and a couple of rounds of tetracycline, his nails gradually improved with just the supplements until only about 1 fell off every year. He was never on prednisone or doxyicillin (sp?). His nails remained soft and gnarly; they grew like crazy so had to be trimmed more often. So yes, the condition lasted forever but grew more easy to manage, with decreasing amounts of meds.
  9. 42% protein is a serious amount. (I don't mean it's too much -- just a lot compared to many other dog foods.) Add in the 22% fat, and no wonder it's 479 calories per cup.
  10. I'm so sorry for Marty and you. <<lt appears to be an infectious but not a contagious disease.>> What does this mean?
  11. Sending our good thoughts for your boy.
  12. She is beautiful. This link has so much information it can be overwhelming, but I've found it helpful for explanations, links to current research, and home diet ideas: Dogaware kidney
  13. Woot! Woot! All greys here doing happy dance for Munchie!
  14. Sending gentle hugs to beautiful Spriet.
  15. Sending more best wishes. Hope Rourke is lapping up the extra attention at VT.
