  1. Sending good thoughts for your baby girl.
  2. I'm not an expert, but it doesn't sound like normal aging to me. I've had dogs aged 11, 12, and 13, and they didn't display any of the extreme reactions you're describing. Plus, Rainy's just barely into official "senior" status -- relatively young. I would talk to your vet again, as you're planning. Getting a full thyroid panel sounds like a good idea. As I understand it, she became spooked at fireworks before you moved into your present house, but it's been worse since then? There have been a couple of GT hounds who developed extreme nervous reactions to noises, such as a fire alarm with a run-down battery. Humans couldn't hear it, but the hounds sure could. Outside construction noise that didn't bother the humans was another nerve-wracking experience for a hound. The dogs became generally fearful and nervous. Maybe do a whole-house check for weird stuff like that? I'm sorry you and Rainy are having to go through this.
  3. Continued healing wishes to Bumper. Ms. Squirt looks perfect, sandwiched between her two handsome brothers! Ice cream is a cherished tradition in our house a few days after dentals.
  4. Holding Toby and his family in the Light. Sweet, painfree dreams tonight, Mr. T.
  5. Poor baby girl and poor, poor humans! Here's to good painkillers and Symbra continuing alert and proud with all ears flying.
  6. No new ideas, just sending cyber-massages Fixer's way (and maybe to the lady, too)
  7. Welcome to Garwood and entourage!
  8. Miss Piper Wiggles is drop-dead gorgeous, just like her brother. Congreytulations to all!
  9. How are Rascal and Rocky doing now? I hope that, like most dogs, Rascal will come to appreciate canine company even if he does steal some of the human attention. There's a running joke that adoption groups always ensure that someone's first grey is perfect, just to lure them into adopting more.
  10. Sending best wishes from our Nut(meg) to yours.
  11. Keeping all paws crossed! A tradition here is a few days after the dental when everything's healed up, the poor puppy gets ice cream.
  12. Hang in there. We're all pulling for your girl.
  13. No tumour is good. Dragons are good. Eating supper is good. Sending all sorts of good thoughts for the 'Nut.
  14. Thinking nice, shiny toothy thoughts for Ms. Leah. My 10+-year-old girl came through just fine on her dental a few months ago.
  15. Keeping the good thoughts coming.
  16. Adding all our sympathy. Run with the wind, sweet boy.
