we had a gh with LS and she dragged a foot. We put a bootie on the foot so it would not hurt her dragging her food. She walked fine on the walks but we did not go far and yest she did better when she was moving than when she was standing still. We would like her rest when we stopped at a bench and then we held her up with our knee while we were sitting to take the pressur off the back legs. Her tummy would rest on our knee.

I too use it from answers which I can buy at the local vet's office. I have a senior who is now a picky eater. I think the goat's milk helps.

There is a surgery to have warts and corns removed. My Mariah had it done when she was in rescue. I would not do it again. The healing time before she could walk again was a long long time

We had no ideat that our gh was facing kidney issues until he stopped eating and of course was losing weight. We did the full blood panel which showed high level of creatine.

We do the raw goat's milk which I purchase at my vet's office. We started giving it to our 12 y.o. gh who is becoming very hard to feed as she has had some medical issues this year. Each a.m. and p.m. we were wondering if she would eat and what she would eat as we were trying so many things. So I went back to giving her the goat milk and she has eaten every meal with it in it.

My first gh in 1996 was diagnosed too late. My vet thought it was allergies. Long story short if I could go back I would have considered having the tie back done. Sarah, the gh, died a horrible death due to LP and it will live with me the rest of my life. We were driving back from California from seeing a vet for something else (and that is the vet that told me that day that she had LP) and headed home to Nevada. Sarah was so stressed out from the vet appt and was panting so hard she was having a horrible time trying to breathe. She was gasping for air and my only thought was to try and get her to ER ASAP. It was too late by the time we got to ER. They iced her and trying to give her life back. They said she had something similar to a heat stroke. 2 days at ER we said goodbye. OMG you have got to LOVE this family that took this dog in and gave it great TLC and medical. I can only imagine the cost of the medical care.

Any one giving their senior gh this supplement? If so does 225 mg for medium sized dog, 52 lbs, sound correct. Thanks.

Dear Mary, I am so very sorry that you had to let Fiona go and very sorry to hear that she had such a bad reaction to this chemo treatment. I know there are no words to comfort you and Jim and the family. Thank DOG she had a wonderful life with you. Sweet memories but not enough of them. Jan, there are no words that I can give you to comfort you. I am so very sorry. I know all your gh's are special to you but there was something about Seamie that really caught your heart and soul. Godspeed Seamie and may the wind always be at your back. I am sure that Seamie has caught up with the rest of CG at the bridge. I hope he shows you a sign.

I would have a friend come over with her dog and go to the back yard. Hopefully your friend's dog might have to poop and once the scent is there perhaps your dog will poop. Another suggestion get some poop from your friend's dog and put it in the yard and let your dog sniff it. Of course when your dog does his first poop make a big deal out of it.

OMG the conversation is over already?????? I do let my 12 1/2 y.o. off leash in the front yard in a cul-de-sac on a 1/2 acre. She does not walk very fast and I could catch her in a heart beat. If I had a younger gh I probably would not let it off the leash. When ever our group adopts out a gh to a new family one of the things we put in their welcome packet is the article "trust is a deadly disease"
