  1. My gh Tawny (bridge baby had kidney disease years ago). I believe one of the reasons she lived longer than expected was acupuncture treatment on a regular basis. Acupuncture treatment has a jing and a yang that can provide oxygen to the kidneys. While she was receiving acupuncture treatment I had her levels checked routinely.
  2. Just wanted to say thank you for posting the kidney diet. We may have a gh in our group that might benefit from this diet

  8. It happens and don't beat yourself up. I am a placement rep for our group and we do take dogs back. Just had one bounce back to our group after they had the dog for one week. The dog did not work for them but we found another home and the dog works for them. Good luck!
  9. Mary, I was hoping you would see this post and give your personal experience with the lovely Fiona. Thanks.
  10. Our 11 y.o. is picky once in a while. We try doing Pet Select, sardines, canned tuna, cottage cheese, yogurt plan, cooked oatmeal, sweet potato (cooked). We alternate with these. What works one day may not work at the next meal. Also use raw goat's milk
  11. I use an elevated stand which is really my hand. My girl comes over to me and I hold the bowl for her.
  12. I just mailed you a homemade recipe for kibble and a bunch of dog treat recipes. They will be coming in two separate envelopes as I did not have a big envelope. Hope your pup enjoys.
  13. I remember Jack well. Know we are thinking of you. Anniversaries are tuff especially when they are young (Jack and your daughter)
  14. My 11 y.o. gh started getting picky and I tried raw goat's milk and she loves it, no more picky. But of course that could change at any time.
  15. My three pups love Acana Ranchlands. Fortunately our store carries it
  16. I do not do a homemade diet but have been making some homemade dog treats. I have lots of recipes. PM me with your name and address and I will copy some for you and send. In regards to joints I have had success with green lipped mussel powder. I do three scoops per day per dog and I have an 11 y.o, 12 y.o. and 7 y.o.
