  1. My heart is broken for you. Joe T Reporter was a very special favorite of mine. The world (whirled) has changed.
  2. Sometimes they don't like the water that is different from that that they drink at home. Have you tried bringing your own water with you, with a familiar bowl?
  3. A Happy Dancing Boy indeed, and he got there one foot at a time (out of his crate). I absolutely love the video of Graham's dance to go for a walk, with a perfect sit added for good measure. He came so far with you and was so incredibly happy. I am terribly sorry for the huge Graham-sized hole in your heart right now :grouphug Godspeed handsome Graham, Good Dog.
  4. What a nice boy! That fabulous smile, and he has a heart on his forehead, awww. Congratulations, and welcome!
  5. I'm so sorry. It sounds like cardiac to me. Can you get Miles to the e-vet tonight?
  6. The missing is so hard. Please do know, from those of us who have been where you are, that you will find a place to be at peace. And until you do, Do Not ever let anyone tell you or suggest that you "need to get over it." The process is different for everyone and there is no time limit, nor rules, nor right or wrong. Acknowledge what you are feeling; remember your sweet boy and the good times. I am so very sorry for your loss.
  7. That was going to be my suggestion, too. Tylan powder is terrific. You can get it asap from your vet, but we order it from Amazon and keep it in the cupboard.

    Corbyn

Beautiful boys, both Corbyn (*handsome* fellow!) and Aleister (is he really in the window??!!). I am so very sorry for the double-heart break you have suffered, my heart goes out to you. Godspeed boys, you are so very loved.
  9. She is a beautiful girl and I have always just loved her name. June Bug. You have received good advice, all I can add is just to repeat better a day too soon than a day too late (btdt). You are a good mom, and you will know, you are so in tune with her. Enjoy every single minute together. I'm so sorry you are facing this.
  10. Diane, I am so sorry. What a handsome fellow, and he loved every single minute with you. Godspeed Batman, what a good dog.
  11. You all fought such a brave fight. I understand how much you miss your good boy.
  12. How do you train a completely undomesticated dog that is in a permanent state of terror; doesn’t understand censure or reward; does not recognise praise; will only eat if left alone in a room; and does not dare to take a treat from your hand? We decided not to try. Our first priority must be to gain his trust. 100% this. You are amazingly wonderful folks and I just wanted to say Thank You for giving Jack the most wonderful day of his life, the day that he came home with you, thanks to Jenny! She knew how much he needed to be saved. You are already on the right path to doing exactly what you chose to do, gain Jack's trust. The rest will come, every day will be a new day with new discoveries and so much love. I am so happy for Jack, and Jenny, and you.
  13. I like the ideas posted above about letting Luna have access to looking out the window. You can try putting window film over them, which would allow her to see out but peeps can't see in. You can get it at an auto supply place or similar, you just cut it to fit and apply with water. It peels right off when you are ready to remove it. Someone with more experience than I can tell you how to attach the muzzle to a breakaway collar with a strap. Have you tried giving her a frozen stuffed Kong when you leave? She really *wants* to be good!
  14. Sorry if I missed this piece of info, but, if Luna is muzzled does she *have* to be crated? Many greys just don't like the crate once they are home. If you want to keep her in/out of certain rooms, baby gates are terrific. Are you leaving the radio or TV on for her? I have Janet Marlowe's "Zen Dog" calming CD playing continuously when I am away.
  15. This is what I did with Pal's front foot corn that he developed at age 13 (why?). I didn't get fancy with a hole puncher (that is a good idea!) but just ripped pieces of duct tape to secure to the corn. In between changes of duct tape I dremeled the corn; it seemed to keep it to a level that was comfortable for him. Permanent foster Thank you.
  16. So thankful that you were able to get a diagnosis, and can bring Miss Scarlett home for treatment. She is a wonderful old lady. Best of luck and please keep us posted.
  17. I've had Rudy a little over 6 months now and had concluded he just wasn't a roo-er. I had played various rooing videos as well as foolishly rooing at him myself and he'd listen, whine, even bark, but he wouldn't join in. I think he's got it
  18. Well there he is. I don't believe I had ever seen the friend you of whom you speak with so much love and respect. Handsome, handsome boy.
  19. What a beautiful girl. I'm so sorry for your loss
  20. His time with you was the best time of Buddy's life, you gave him that. Godspeed handsome boy.
