    Donovan

Oh no, Chris, I'm so very sorry. I loved Donovan. He was the coolest, sweetest guy. I'm sure Loca is stealing his toys and treats at the bridge as I type.

    Iker and Xavi.
  6. I'm so sorry for your loss. The picture of your two dogs standing together is one of my all time favourite GT photos.
  7. I remember Asta. I'm so sorry. She was a beautiful girl.
  8. Similar thing happened with Iker last month. Blood in urine but no sign of UTI. Took x-rays and an ultrasound to rule out stones which were not present, and completed a culture which was negative. He ended up treating him for a penis infection with antibiotics and all seems fine now.
  9. I agree. It's perfect for a dog who gets Freaks or spooks at anything at all, because you never know if a startled dog will jump forward, backwards or to the side.
  10. I have two males. They love each other.
  11. I was not in any way suggesting that Iker and Truman have the same problem. None of us know that. I was trying to give an example of how patience and positive reinforcement can be beneficial. That's all. I think we all have the same goals in mind. No matter the problem(s), patience and a sense of humour is a must.
  12. I live with Iker. Start small. Treats in the house for just being himself, treats for coming when called, treats for getting up when you get up, etc. until he regularly accepts them. Then you can slowly start to give treats for behaviours you want him to repeat. Treats for walking out the door two inches, then back inside. Treats for walking outside two feet, then back inside, etc. Keep expanding the amount of time. change the locations, but always treats, but start SMALL.In the meantime, keep him away from the big stressors except for little bits at a time. Or accept the fact that he just might not be the sort of dog you can take out and do things with. Be bombproof, patient, don't tense up or get upset, keep your sense of humour and be very patient. I think you're nitpicking but that is just my opinion. I'm no expert, but what I do know is that two months is nothing.
  13. I'm so sorry. I always enjoyed reading about Fiona and seeing her pictures. She will be missed by all of us.
