Hi from Kitchener! I adopted my first greyhound from the now defunct Greyhound Adoption of Montreal, which moved to Georgetown, ON, then ceased to exist.

Every dog is different. I had a greyhound that used to run 10k with me. I worked him up to that distance slowly, just like a person should do. It was fine. Also, I know some greyhounds that are fine off leash. It depends on the dog.

I have a friend who recently received braces for her dog. Not sure if it was for the same thing. I will direct her to this thread, although I'm pretty sure she is no longer on GT. I do know that they are very happy with the results but it took the dog a while to get used to them. He refused to move at first

I'm glad she's home. Hope she is feeling better very soon. You might need to just shove the pills down her throat. Not a great thing to do, but at least you won't need to worry about her not eating.

I think the best thing you can do is accept Joe for who he is. I also live with a dog who will never be who I had envisioned. Everything improved once I realized how lovable he is and realized that my expectations had nothing to do with him. Joe is very handsome.

OH NO! I'm so sad that we never got to meet in person. We used to talk on the phone before he moved to the US; so long ago that it was before he was diagnosed with cancer, but after the dizziness had started. Sadly we pretty much lost contrct a few years ago except for an occasional catch up email. This is so sad, but I can only imagine the joyful reunion he had with Bones and Sox. RIP my friend.
