  1. Thank you for adding Sasha, and I am so sorry for everybody's losses
  2. From the album: Iker

  3. How long ago did she have the xray? I would recommend another to rule out osteosarcoma. My hound Treasure had similar symptoms as yours. Nothing showed up on the first set of X-rays, and we did a second set a month later after the symptoms didn't go away. Those confirmed osteo.
  4. I'm so sorry to read this. :group hug
  5. Relax. Imagine how different everything is for your new dog. Like greytpups said, he may be picking up on some of your anxiety. Things never go as planned, and it's probably best for all of youif you can roll with the punches. Iker (my dog) has started to pee on the bed, also. I'm taking him to the vet tomorrow and will let you know how it goes. So...take a deep breath, relax, and enjoy your new dog, ok?
  6. They are all beautiful. Were they bred as show dogs or as hunters? Where in Spain is the breeder? Here is my galgo, Iker. He was one of those abused galgos that we hear about, complete with a prominent noose scar around his neck from a failed hanging. I was tricked into bringing him home from the Seville shelter where I volunteer . That was when I learned never to look at a dog in a shelter and comment how much I would like to bring him home I love him very much
  7. Sasha passed away unexpectly Friday night while at home. My mom had taken her to the vet that afternoon because she missed a meal; unheard of for Sasha! She was put on antibiotics and all seemed fine. Later that night my mom heard three short squeals. She found Sasha on the floor, already gone. Sasha was my parents' samoyed. She was very special. When my father unexpectly slipped into a coma at home almost two years ago, she placed her head under his dangling arm and kept pushing it up, like she was trying to bring him back to life. She even attended his family - only memorial service. She kept my mom sane after dad's death and gave her a reason to go outside several times a day. She is devastated. I like to think that she has been reunited at the bridge with my dad. With her family, including bridge angel Treasure.
  8. Great! I love in Kitchener. Do the dogs stay in your home? Do you take galgos, also?
  9. I'm so sad and am speechless. I think we were all rooting for Lazer and were hoping he would hang around for a long time. After all, he was, and is a miracle doggie. RIP, Lazer. We will miss you.
  10. I hope you can come up with some kind of diagnosis quicklyand fairly inexpensively.
  11. I'm so very sorry. She must've been a very, very special girlie
  12. Way too much loss. I'm so very sorry
