Exciting Discovery At Trader Joe's

Recommended Posts

I have recommended Trader Joe's bully sticks (aka "beef stick twists") several times here. They're less stinky than any others we've tried, they don't cause gas or big D for Sweep, and you can break the 10" braided stick into halves and untwist it to get four chewing sessions out of one stick--for $5.99. We were there today to buy some (my husband and I are hopeless romantics, what can I say?) and saw that they are now selling them already cut in two pieces for the same price. As someone who has literally cut herself on bull penis trying to break one in half,* I can tell you this was a very welcome discovery. :rofl

* I am so glad there's a forum where I can type things like this and people will actually understand.

:lol I had fun writing this post, I have to admit.

Ahhh... this might be worth a trip to my local TJ. I seldom go because the parking lot is very very very small and on a well-traveled road. Difficult to find a parking space and then difficult to get back on the road.

Same scenario here. We go once a month and have to time it just right. Sundays are impossible. But they have several products that are worth it to us!

Almost all of the TJ's we've been to have the same parking problems. We're definitely going to have to give the new beef sticks a try - thanks for the tip! We usually are just big suckers for the box of biscuits with the greyhound on the front...

Those biscuits are a hit here too! As well as the "mint-a-breath bones."

Ooh, next time I'm near a TJ's I might have to get a pack. Their freeze-dried liver cubes are big favorites too (along with the peanut butter biscuits with the greyhound on the box).

Sounds delicious, I'll have to pick some up next time I go to TJ's :) Does anyone else find those damn biscuits with the Greyhound on them too hard? (maybe because I live in the desert?)

Gambler loves the peanut butter sandwich cookies (for people, he only get's them every once in awhile)

The greyhound PB biscuits *are* hard, I agree. Sweep doesn't let that stop her though; she just softens them up with copious amounts of drool first. :lol

If you have big pruning loppers for trimming bushes, those cut bully sticks very well. Not little dinky shears, but the loppers that are 1 1/2 - 2 ft long.
