scullysmum
Johnny has injured his right wrist, I am hoping it is just a nasty sprain, but if he becomes non-weight bearing on that leg he will have to go back to the vets for x-rays. The vet says he has an "extra" lump on the front of his wrist but could not be sure if it was related to this injury or the result of an old injury, I phoned Croftview to ask Cheryl if she knew of any previous injury to that leg and she said she could not recall one. Your best good healing thoughts would be most appreciated. I just took him out for his potty break about 2 hours after his first dose of Metacam and he did seem much less lame, hopefully this will continue. I am icing the leg for ten minutes in every hour also. It's a bummer as I am on half term holiday this coming week and I was going to spend lots of time walking him and doing some more off-leash training with him. Healing thoughts and any advice always welcome. scullysmum
Thank you for your kind thoughts, they seem to have worked. He is slightly gimpy for the first couple of strides upon standing and then the limp is hardly noticable, so he may have got off lightly. A week or so strict rest should do the trick. The wrist is quite puffy but having had bad sprains myself I think that is to be expected. Thanks again Quote <p>"One day I hope to be the person my dog thinks I am"Sadi's Pet Pages Sadi's Greyhound Data PageMulder1/9/95-21/3/04 Scully1/9/95-16/2/05Sadi 7/4/99 - 23/6/13 CroftviewRGT
