Hubcitypam
Budderspuddle - Buddy is a greyhound - he is my avatar. Dr. Josh said he hoped to prove the other vet wrong but he quickly said the same thing as Dr. Nelson. He put him on 40 mg of pred twice a day which is a huge dose. I am going to have to break out more water bowls. His prognosis was slightly better - he said the pred might buy us 6 months. There is some new drug that is for mast cell tumors but vets are using it for all kinds of cancer. He looked up the price and said it wasn't an option for us. Buddy my Buddy - the sweetest soul I've ever met. :weep Now we just wait and watch for him to quit eating.

MP_the4pack
I'm so sorry Pam. But did you check with OSU? They give chemo for free if needed. You just need to pay the vet to administer it.
Hubcitypam
Actually my older vet said he used to do chemo for lymphoma But it never really bought much time - lymphoma is generally fast and furious. My vet from OSU didn't push it either. Poor guy. If he's awake he's panting.

Hubcitypam
He is eating just fine and wanting to go for walks.
