Secret to cold walks in winter coming from a Canadian is to dress appropriately. Seriously, I wear sheepskin lined boots, jeans lined with fleece, down coat, sheepskin hat and mitts and merino wool underneath it all. The pups wear warm coats and we keep moving. I find this makes walking much more enjoyable when everyone is toasty warm.

Although we don't have any :snow right now, it's still cold, but we can walk for a long time without the walk feeling like a chore. I always want to enjoy the walks because sadly there will be a time when I wish I could have "just one more walk with our pup."

Sorry, don't mean to get carried away...just offering a suggestion to make walking more enjoyable, rather than "just another thing I have to do."

:welcome

She is getting better each day, gradually getting less nervous. Lots of tail wagging yesterday and I managed to get her to do play bitey with me by being silly with her in the evening.

Here's some more pictures of Peggy and he brother Eli (SIL's greyhound - actual litter brother).

Thanks everyone. She is a lovely girl. She did some teeth chattering for the first time yesterday, just a little bit though and roached for the first time yesterday evening. She also does play bitey with us if we get silly with her.

This morning she was all nervous again, but I guess she will have days like that. She gets so excited for her breakfast and dinner!

She still spends a lot of time in her room, but that is fine it gives us some time to eat and relax with each other. We'll go in a couple of times in the evening and sit with her and give her cuddles which she likes. And she often comes in to see what we're doing or bring a toy in and out.

I will have to try and post some more pictures soon.
