Guest mbfilby
This is our first Christmas without our Mickey. I would like to express my sympathy to those who will be spending a first Christmas without their beloved houndies, and take a moment to remember those who have crossed the bridge in years past. Merry Christmas Mickey, we miss you and love you always. Edited December 24, 2011 by mbfilby

Guest FullMetalFrank
We are without Frank for the first Christmas in 9 years... It's been hard. The holidays have been tough for me anyways, for a good number of years now; and it was his job to cheer me up when nothing else would. His presence is all around the house; he is never far from me, and yet too far for me to reach. I found myself sobbing into my sweet Nonnie boy's neck this afternoon, out of the blue. And you know what? He has that same smell; like sugar cookies when you nuzzle his soft, furry neck. Maybe Frank is closer to me than I realize. I know he sent us Neon. Guest FreddyGirl
It is the second Christmas without my sweet pea, my Bobbi girl, Bobbi doodles. She opened the door for another broodie, my Hilary, who had her first home last Christmas at age 10 3/4, and definately sent me Tom. Guest greymama002
My heart aches for all those spending Christmas without a beloved one. We lost our Tina in February, and since winter snow was her favorite frolicking time, I especially miss her now. Last night we visited with my daughter-in-law's parents' dog, a little white & black dog with black ticking with the softest thick bunny fur just like our Tina, and he'd keep nudging you when you stopped patting him. An unexpected Christmas gift to be treasured...

Guest vahoundlover
Our first without Muffy. This picture was taken the day she left us. I just realized that it looks like she has wings. I still have a hard time believing she is gone. I have been sitting here for an hour trying to write about our precious girl Sheba, who left us 12-21. It seems like a horrible nightmare. Kirston, my sweet snaggle tooth girlie. We didn't get a year with you, but in the short time you were with us you grabbed our hearts and filled them with love. To our other Bridge Angels, we miss you and love you so very much. Jiffer
It just plain sucks. Miss Echo left us in March, and not a day goes by that I don't think of her. Christmas is difficult, as have been vending events since she attended every one with me. Miss you so much baby-doll. I have pics of her last days, but this is the way I want to remember her (taken about 3 weeks before). NeylasMom
This was technically my second Christmas without Neyla as I let her go on December 23rd, 2010 but emotionally it was my first as I don't think I truly felt her loss until I returned home from Christmas last year. I am so lucky to have Zuri as my rock and our new addition Violet, who never fails to keep my amused, but I miss my baby girl so much. Every time I look at Zuri and Violet together I can't help thinking how having Neyla here (who would be the only bossy one) would make the perfect pack. To everyone else going through the same thing, Quote Jen, CPDT-KA with Zuri, lab in a greyhound suit, Violet, formerly known as Faith, Skye, the permanent puppy, Cisco, resident cat, and my baby girl Neyla, forever in my heart "The great thing about science is that you're free to disagree with it, but you'll be wrong."
