Guest MorganKonaAlex Posted February 26, 2010 Share Posted February 26, 2010 Demon was diagnosed with osteo 6/2009. His front leg was amputated and he had 4 rounds of carboplatin. He's done great until now. 3 weeks ago, I boarded the dogs for 36 hours. Demon and my foster started coughing about a week later and were diagnosed with kennel cough despite being vaccinated. Last week-end I started them on antibiotics. Demon then coughed up a blood clot. He had a chest xray this week and one area appears to have mets. Probably it's the kennel cough clearing up. But he coughed up another blood clot on his afternoon walk. I'm so sorry. We tried a salvage protocol when Alex developed lung mets and it wasn't worth it. We make him comfortable but no chemo at this point.
