Guest Mom2Comet Posted February 21, 2010 Share Posted February 21, 2010 I am so sorry to let everyone know that Monarch Ruckus crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Thursday afternoon. After many Ohio State surgeons consulted on the case, it was determined that Monarch had a slim chance of successful recovery from her front leg injury. While her spirits were high and she was a happy girl, the outcome was grim. Sydney and her mom were there to help Monarch meet her sister, Lena (and all the other greyhounds who have gone before her) and again run on all four legs. Monarch is survived by her new brother, Ozarka Walker, her iggie sister, Sophia and her parents, Sydney and John. The entire Greyhound Adoption of Ohio family mourns for her loss as we all loved her dearly. She was a strong girl who had many struggles and now she runs free. I am sure, if something could have been done, they would have done it. This was so very unfortunate. At least she is pain-free, with four good legs, at The Bridge.
