rycezmom Posted March 17, 2009 Share Posted March 17, 2009 (edited) While at Sandy Paws last week end we noticed a lesion on the Pimpmasters underbelly area near the inner hip area. Got home last night and off to see Mario this afternoon. Will take GPJ in the morning and do excisional bx. Looks like a hemangiosarcoma but will wait for path report before I start to worry. I'll be in with Gus for his biopsy. I love my vet because he lets me stay with my hound for procedures if I want. Fingers crossed for easily fixable nothing. 3/18/09 12:00 PM - We are home from the vet. In the door at 10AM, IV, good drugs for GPJ, none for me, 10 minutes with some propofol and a whiff of gas and all finished. Sat on the floor on quilts with him for about 30 min, IV out and done. Walked him around the hospital for about 20 minutes until he was steady on his feet, deposited in the back of the car and home before 11:30. Gustopher P, as usual, was a good boy, a bit of a sissy because he LOVES Marios tech. I'm very lucky because Gus always wakes up gently from procedures, maintaining his forever cool demeanor. Bx done with a wide margin and should have results back Saturday or Monday. Will worry if and when I need to. Thank you for all the well wishes. L. Took 2 procedures, but got clean margins and he hasn't had a recurrence since.
