Angela emailed me last night to say that Suntastic let her and Jeff know yesterday that she was tired. Her quality of life was no longer good, and when they saw the spark go from her eyes, they took that step that none of us want to take. With the passing of Sunny, renamed "Wendolene Sunny Valentine", this earth lost a beautiful soul. Sunny was one of the most beautiful greyhounds we've known, inside and out. She was so gentle and playful. She passed on her amazing personality to her children, as many of you have found out for yourselves when you adopted them: Ante Up Annie (Annie) Apache Sun (Patches) Boltfromtheblue (Mazey) Enfuego Del Sol (Gordo) Gremlin Girl (Gremlin Girl!) Mystic Sun (Freckles) Sun Blaze (Katie/Jackie) Twilight Flash (Squirt/Wallace) FTH Moon Beam (Smiley/Spencer) FTH Moon Dancer (Snickers) FTH Moon Glow (Jerzee/Hunter) FTH Moon Prancer (Trixie) FTH Moon Shine (Buster) FTH Redmoonrisin (Toby) FTH Totaleclipse (Black Girl) Sunny was in the racing kennel when Bill and I bought it, and Bill knew her before that from working the kennel with the previous owner. After having two litters for us, she went home in March 2004 to live in Maryland with Angela and Jeff, as well as her brother and the clown, Gromit. She was doted on by her new family, and was definitely a Daddy's Girl (both with Bill and Jeff). You will be greatly missed, Sunny.
