rycezmom
Friends of Greyhounds, Ft Lauderdale reports with great sadness and regret the loss of a wonderfully cherished member of the FoG family. Dennis Hickson, one of our volunteers, as well as an adopter, was killed Thanksgiving evening in a traffic accident while on his way home from a family Thanksgiving celebration. Dennis has been a constant source of love, boundless energy and support for his three beloved hounds, Ruby, Buddy and Orbit, as well as FoG and the greyhound community at large. He involved himself, with enthusiasm and determination, with his Friends of Greyhounds family and worked tirelessly for the betterment of the hounds. His commitment to the hounds came from the bottomless depths of his heart, given freely and with love. Friends of Greyhounds mourns the loss of Dennis and we hold his family, as well as our own, close with our love. He is a special star in the night sky watching over the hounds, both here and at the bridge. crazygang
DREADFUL NEWS.......so very sad. Deepest sympathy to his family and friends. Be sure in the knowledge that he will be met at the bridge by all the greyhounds he's helped, and one day in the future joined by his own hounds and loved ones again. So certain in life is death, but when it is snatched away it's harder to understand. Guest PhillyPups
How very very sad. I do know Bob can use all the help at the bridge, and I am sure he was greeted with a roo heard round the world. I have to wonder, where will his hounds go? How very devastating for his three loving companions. they understand their daddy leaving so suddenly.
