It may be worth moving her up the scale to a more potent drug if you want to buy her a little more time, also she should also be getting anti-inflammatories. We also tried fosamax to reduce bone destruction. I know this is hard because the time will come anyway. For Nugget this was when the drugs started taking over her life rather than when the pain was unbearable, because the drugs (mainly fentanyl) did a reasonable job for her. We may have given her another month which was important for us because one of us was overseas when it hit her and had time to return for a proper farewell.
