Guest Bodie
Check Deuce's feet for corns. Bodie started walking oddly and acting like something was wrong with his leg last week right before he was to go back to Ohio for another chemo. I immediately thought the worst... An exam at OSU showed that he had developed corns on all of his feet - four on one foot! All of this is from learning a new way to walk since his amputation. The staff at OSU told me that there is only an 8% chance of developing osteo in any remaining limbs, so let's hope that Deuce has corns or pulled a muscle from his new way of walking. Lots of prayers and white lights coming from PA for Deuce.

Aerosmom
I'll be praying for Deuce and you Shelby. It sounds like it's unusual for it to be osteo. I hope it's something easily cleared up. Guest gottaluvgreysindy
I don't want to leave you all hanging, but keep the prayers coming. It was a rough night. I slept on two different dog beds, the floor, my bed and the couch. I gave him a deramaxx yesterday and then one after breakfast this morning. He didn't have his normal raging appetite this morning. I also gave him the last two tramadol (one last night and another about 5:30 this morning). He is still not wanting to use his back left leg. It is on the same side as his front amputation so it makes it tough to get around. He will let me touch and massage the leg though. I didn't really see any corns, but he wouldn't be in distress while laying down if it were corns though right? I'm dreading the trip to the vet, but I guess I will make an appointment because I can't stand to hear him whine. I am absolutely sick to my stomach just thinking about it. Keep the prayers coming and thank you so much for all your encouraging words and prayers.

Guest gottaluvgreysindy
First, let me give credit where credit is due......PRAISE GOD!! Prayer is a powerful tool and it works. We just got back from the e-vet. I put off taking him as long as I could to prevent hearing what I didn't want to hear. He still would not use the leg. They took xrays and they are beautiful xrays. No signs of cancer, those bones are as crisp and clean as anything. Doc talked about arthritis, but ended up saying just a bad sprain of some kind. Praise God again, I feel like a new person. I have been crying non stop for over 24 hours and now I can't stop crying tears of joy. Thanks to all of you who prayed for my boy. Now we just have to get him well enough to get to the GPA Indianapolis picnic next Sunday. Thanks again to all who said a prayer. GOD IS GOOD
