I feel your pain. Edie once peed on a doorway at dog school. All of mine did multiple courses (8 classes each) at that school, and none peed on a door. Except Edie, who wasn't even a newbie at that point, nor much of a "cover-er." I didn't make her wear anything silly, but I did insist that she lie on the rubber floor even when she didn't feel like it, which invariably lead to a huge sigh of capitulation.

Exactly. The individuals that have horror stories might not be attributing their animal's problems to the right source. Even if they are, there is no context: no indication of numbers of bad reactions relative to good. I'd much rather trust my vet or read regulator reports and reputable medical sites, of which there are many. ETA: I'm so glad that Howie is better with Librela. So is Toodles.

Hmmmm. I must ask my vets about immunization to Librela and Solensia (kitty version).

The fact that some of us here have had positive experiences with the drug apparently doesn't fit with your pre-conceived notion that it is evil.

My clinic uses a similar 6-dose protocol, but with liquid wormer only. My retired barn kitty has been through both the rescue vet's deworming and my clinic's 6-dose protocol. She tested negative in October (for antigens as well), but once again has a raging case of roundworm. I wouldn't be surprised if the hooks are back too. (We didn't test because I found worms in vomit.) Sigh.

I'm relieved that I didn't see this thread until the ear had returned. Whew. Willa is just amazing! She sure showed those boys.

I'm glad both Gracie and Mama are doing well. I've had dogs who thought having me hold the bowl was evil, and dogs who thought it was great.

That's a great side effect, although a bit hard on the humans.

Toothless Toodles agrees. She does just fine with 6 (4 canines and 2 useless incisors). Hope you're now home and soon feel better.

Sammy--> I call a very outgoing dog a "flirt," but Sammy takes it to a whole 'nother level. Funds raised-->Awesome! It's hard for rescues to keep up with vet costs, and must be a bit relief to have most of a month covered.

Toodles has been on it since late last spring (I think), when it became available here. It makes a huge difference in her ability to get up from a bed and go up the ramps. I often can see it wearing off toward the end of the interval. She gets her injection at the clinic because she's in weekly for a laser treatment. I have two foster cats on Solensia, which is the kitty version. It helps both of them, particularly the 12 year old with horrible arthritis in her elbows.

I guess it isn't unusual for greys. But non-grey Daisy is way worse because she does random spins when she moves. I never know where she's going to be.

Great news for Buster! Merlin is _very_ handsome. I hope he finds his home soon. Good thing you only have Sammy for one night. Sleep deprivation is KNOT fun. What a character he is! ETA: Opal had Sammy's love for closeness. Plusalso, she was unable to stay still. I loved the cuddles but did not enjoy having to protect myself from her bony self. Nor did I enjoy the sleep deprivation.

I've never thought of that, but perhaps it's part of why I so love seniors. They're beautiful and special and they don't even realize it.

The only real sign is that the "balancing leg" is nowhere to be seen. I've had a lot of four-leggers who were less nimble than Willa as a tripod. Of course, most were several older when they arrived here, but still. Willa is very clever indeed. The oncologist is going to love the video.

I listened with the sound off (it isn't working), so I wasn't offended. I'm absolutely amazed by how nimble Willa is as a tripawd. Astounding! They sure had fun.
