  1. Gracie must have been upset by the sad loss and the move, but now she knows she's landed in greyhound heaven-on-earth. Congratulations to all. So, Chris, are you happy with the snuggling when you're trying to use your computer?
  2. Such lovely girls. AnnIE can rest _anywhere_ even when standing.
  3. Wiki! Broodies know how to par-tay! I've had several, and every single one partied until she was too frail ... or even then, but more carefully.
  4. Even if they were knot unusually comfortable, AnnIE would stretch out.
  5. I too love the purple needles. And the post-treatment snooze. I haven't tried acupuncture on any of my animals (and it didn't do anything for me), but laser treatments seem to be helpful. I suspect the results of many alternative therapies are dependent on the skills of the person administering them.
  6. Glad it's over and the actual procedure didn't take long. Fingers crossed for good results. AnnIE is just keeping things calm.
  7. Yes, this is another big benefit of a US guided cysto. ETA: Toodles has had issues with _very_ stubborn UTIs that required long courses of abx, even when we knew we had the right one. The symptoms would go away for a while, then reappear. Sometimes the only sign was more drinking and peeing. As she ages, it becomes harder to tell whether the main culprit is food, kidneys, cognitive issues, SA, bacteria, or age. She also leaks, or rather, she did. Proin bothered her gut so she's on Stilbestrol.
  8. My vet much prefers to do a "cysto" than a free catch because the risk of sample contamination is much lower. So ... most of the time, that's what we do. She also often prefers a "first morning" sample so that we can run kidney values. You might want to do that, especially if you plan to do full bloodwork. Other than the difficulty of keeping a busting hound from peeing, a cysto is pretty much a non-event for a calm hound. None of my girls has ever been sedated and none (of the ones I watched) even seemed to flinch. None has had an infection from the poke.
  9. varygoodboi Doolin. Willa. I'm looking forward to the pics of the Florida trip.
  10. Well, that's disappointing. But it sounds like it worked out just fine for AnnIE.
  11. Happy Gotcha 5 AnnIE and Punkin'!!! You look terrific for your "almost" ages. Must be all those innaresting walks.
  12. Milo and Gelsey: There is no pleasing some humans. Sounds like you landed with a push-me/pull-me whiner. If she acted that way with another human, her behaviour might lead to divorce. Your best hope at this point is to wait at the window for Ducky to rescue you.
  13. I'm so very sorry your precious boy had to leave too soon. Godspeed Buddy.
  14. That reminds me of the pic I took of the dogs that worried the HVAC guys--greys sacked out on the beds, not a raised head in the bunch. We don't miss deliveries here thanks to the woolly dog. I have to remind Toodles not to join us at the door because she can't get back up the stairs; sometimes she arrives anyway and has to be carried, which she doesn't much like.
  15. Gorgeous! Congratulations to the whole family, especially Cassie.
  16. Awesome joke, but a shame that you had to make it. Glad Punkin seems to be okay.
  17. Maybe she should be Annie, I'm Easy at the vet. I wish all my animals were that calm.
