    Sunny

    I'm so sorry. Godspeed Sunny.
  15. I'm so very sorry. It can be hard to tell whether the panting is due to pain or the medications, but since you've just started the Tramadol, odds are it's pain. With my OS puppers, we used an NSAID (Metacam) once per day (standard dosage) and Tramadol 3X/day (increasing the dosage as needed). Depending on his tolerance, you might be able to give him a lot more medicine before he seems drugged.
  16. I'm so very sorry. Godspeed Winston.
  17. Edie loves bird seed. Other than making her poop more voluminous and hard to pick up (makes it crumbly), it hasn't hurt her yet. I know there's some risk from the poop (salmonella), but most of that seems to end up on my neighbours' side of the fence.
  18. Wellness makes grain-free jerky squares (venison, salmon and venison, and a couple of other flavours) that are easy to work with. You can also use no-grain weiners and dry them out in the microwave. Or boil meat (beef heart is a favourite here), slice it, then bake it for a bit. I also use beef liver and other treats from N/A Nothing Added (GTer quietstorm). They're crunchy, so they work best with a dog that chews fast.
