  1. for a quick and successful surgery and an uneventful recovery. You can do it Bailey!
  2. How horrible! I hope Katie heals quickly and well.
  3. I'm so very sorry. He was much too young. Godspeed Demon.
  4. I'm so very sorry. I understand exactly your reasoning, since I just made the same decisions. FWIW, I've said goodbye at the clinic. It isn't the warmest environment, and it doesn't allow the other animals to see the remains, but at least I can leave and let the clinic staff handle the post-mortem details. Perhaps I would have decided differently if my vet had offered to come here, but she didn't and I didn't feel the need to ask. ETA: Moving the body would be a major concern here: too many stairs, a not-very-tall vet with a small car, and so on. Plus I've found that I want to leave as soon as it's over.
  5. I'm so sorry. She was so very young. Godspeed Gigi.
  6. Unbelievable. And horrifying. that Manny is finally on the mend.
  7. When Betsy (then 6 1/2) had been home for about a week, she went down an entire flight of stairs on her side--she didn't realize that the ledge she stepped on wasn't wide enough; I did but couldn't save her. Sometimes, no matter how careful you try to be, bad things happen. I hope the vet doesn't find anything wrong, and that she feels better very soon.
  8. I can't think of anything to add to what Adrianne and Batmom have said. I'm sorry.

    I'm so sorry. Godspeed Bug.
  12. I'm so very sorry. I hope he has a lot of good days left.
  13. He's a gorgeous boy. I hope everything is fine.
  14. Whitey! Maybe he thinks you need to waterproof your foundation.
  15. Betsy had this problem last year. Benadryl didn't work, but Reactine did. Not sure what the brand name is in the US, but the generic is cetirizine hydrochloride. I think we used 5 mg 2X/day, but I'm not sure, so you should check the dosage with your vet.
  16. Glad she's home OK. Hope she feels better soon. She sure is pretty.
  17. I'm so very sorry. Your handsome precious boy had to leave much too soon. Godspeed Sterling.
  18. Glad that the vet didn't find anything, and that he'll be home soon. Hope he recovers quickly and well. FWIW, when Cora had a soft-tissue problem deep inside her hip, it was about a month before she wasn't in agony (even with Metacam), two or three months before she could do stairs, and about four before she was 100%.
