  1. Beautiful Heart. Hugs to you Judy
  2. Just circling back hoping for another positive update on Da Vid.
  3. I am so sorry. My condolences to you and to Xander's family.
  4. Lisa, one thing about Friday when you pick him up - we want Only one more sleep!
  5. Maya is beautiful, I hope she improves, but meantime I second the idea of a neuro consult.
  6. So glad that he's eating. It means he's feeling better, and eating will help him continue in that direction!
  7. Now that is a great update indeed!! I bet he loved all the interaction. Is it the weekend yet ??
  8. Nan I are they doing bloodwork on him beyond the clotting test? Hopefully as things settle down he'll want to eat, especially when you are able to bring food for him - my suggestion is to bring a little of a lot of things - ensure, ice cream, rotisserie or roasted chicken, etc., etc. Maybe some canned tripe. Sending prayers for both of you.
  9. Sounds really good Steve. We will continue to hold Kato in our heart and prayers for a complete recovery.
  10. Claudia there are tears running down my face. It just seemed like Ekko was immortal, and so she is, but not with us anymore. It's so hard to believe and I am so, so sorry. I know your heart is in a million pieces right now. I will light a candle for her journey now, and hold her good friend Rickie extra-close.
  11. I am so, so sorry. What an awful, tragic shock. I have a whippet too, Rickie, and I will give him extra hugs today and tell him they are special ones in honor of your beautiful Jasmine.
  12. Agreed. I have Rickie (14 year old whippet who had a pancreatitis episode way back) on Wellness Core Reduced Fat. As a bonus, it's also relatively low in phosphorus. For treats I give them (in no particular order): - Fruitables - Dehydrated lung (in small pieces) - Burpdog biscuits, broken up
  13. Sending good thoughts for the results to show something annoying but inconsequential.
  14. My whippet Rickie had this cancer on his upper right rear leg. Regular vet removed it, didn't get clean margins. It came back a year later - I found it very early as I was checking the site regularly. Specialty clinic surgeon removed it this time (very aggressive surgery), got clean margins by millimeters, and we haven't had a recurrence. Rickie was 10 at the time of the second surgery. He will be 14 tomorrow. Based on this experience I would recommend checking the site regularly for any sign of a return, however small, so that you can take action right away. As others have said, it doesn't always come back, and I hope Kato's won't.
  15. Continued prayers and healing thoughts for Kato. He's in the best possible hands.
  16. Sending prayers for Kato. We will be watching for an update with all fingers and paws crossed!
  17. What a bittersweet story. Welcome to your new home Boo, what could be better than to live with people who love you and who loved your dad.
  18. Beth she is lovely, and she is where she needs to be - by accident of course, because it couldn't be that anyone even remotely caring, let alone great, would have been moved by her story or made the slightest effort to ensure the rest of her days are in a true forever home where she will be loved and cherished by the entire family. Welcome home beautiful girl
  19. Nancy I am so very sorry for your loss of such a special boy. Godspeed Tommy.
  20. Judy I am sorry the news wasn't better. Hugs to you and your Bruiser.
  21. Nancy I am so, so sorry. Albi was such a special boy. I am lighting a candle now to honor his memory and radiate warmth and light toward his special star in the sky.
  22. Nancy my heart is breaking with yours. Sending prayers Albi finds comfort and you and John find peace in whatever may come.
