    Bets On Chig

I know she will be missed. I bet she will team up with Scooby as a main greeter in Rainbow Land Sending my sympathy
  2. An eye specialist would be best to diagnose. It can be so many things including panus. Sending prayres.
  3. I'd make the appointment for Monday now. You can always cancel. Sounds like if she is lifting it, it's hurting pretty good. Sending prayers!
  4. If it's wrapped and not bleeding, I think he can wait until morning to see your regular vet.
  5. Doesn't sound right. Try soaking and see how she does. It may be infected and need antibiotics.
  6. Re thyroid twice a day or once: depends on the vet. For .8 a day, I'd do it once in the morning. Thyroid blood work should be 5-6 hours after the pill.
  7. Culture the urine. It's either a UTI or did you possibly change food?
  8. Zantac works for most, 150mg twice a day or 300mg at bedtime. On the tough ones I have used prilosec.
  9. Sending lots of prayers. Jodie would get what I called mini attacks. She's be ill for about a day and not eat. I know how hard it is.
  10. Are your vets familar with greyhounds and water diabetes? With water diabetes, if I remember right, you just need to make sure they have water. Also, h pylori (which makes the stomach hurt) can cause excessive drinking. edited to add: did you email Ohio State?
  11. Guessing: possible infection in the salivary glands?
  12. Give him, and Ella a big hug from me please
  13. Do a urine culture although not sure if that works while he is on antibiotics. Same with a urinalysis. I wouldn't worry about it too much yet.
  14. March 12, 2008 All continues on here, normally. We went out Saturday and bought Winslow a new lambie. He promply amputated a front leg. Poor thing, must have had osteo. Winslow plays doctor. Glynis Here's the photo, sad but true. Winslow the surgeon is at it again. As you can see, he's recently been operating on the bird, too. We bought a new one on Saturday after I discovered the feet alone on the kitchen floor. The pheasants seem to last longer. The lambie was here for only a few hours before his amputation. He removes the limbs and then leaves them for me to sew up the holes. After I do it, he's fine to play with them until the squeakers wear out, without further destruction. Just like the lambie, he only took one foot off the pheasant. I took the other one off because they were connected. I wonder what a communicator would say about this. You have seen his toys, Diane. He's not destructive. He doesn't even rip the tags off. Anyway, things are normal here. It's getting warm and Winslow hopes to resume swimming soon. Glynis
