  1. Sending more prayers! Too bad they don't do acupuncture there (or do they?) Will help relax him.
  2. Well, she still would not open her mouth all the way for the vet today. One more week on antibiotics, then if she won't let him in her mouth next Tuesday, he'll sedate her. She is markedly better--eating well, fairly active. If he has to sedate her, I'm going to ask him to xray that side of her jaw. <sigh>
  3. Burp was on it a long time. Can you discuss this with your vet? Maybe a different med combination like zantac and carafate.
  4. Poor guy! There can be so many mishaps under beds. I have my mattress and box springs on the floor.... Sending healing prayers!
  5. I only use certified by AVCA and it works very well for arthritis. You have a good vet there that Suzy (packmom) goes to for this. I think it's North Worthington Pet Clinic.
  6. Probably both meds contributing Give some acidolphillus pills separate from the amoxi.
  7. Sending my sympathy. Run like the wind Indy!
  8. Get her to the vet. Sending prayers.
  9. Sending lots of prayers. Also do a tick panel.
  10. I'd use Frontline spray. Follow directions on the bottle. Seems to work better than the topical. I'd also treat the yard. If you don't you'll end up with them in the house.
  11. If it's not bleeding and he leaves the wrap alone, I'd drop him at my regular vet first thing in the morning if you cannot do it today.
  12. Chickens carry a variety of yukky things that can be transmitted to dogs. Hopefully it's something they can treat quickly.
  13. How is he? Sending healing thoughts and prayers! This is not a dog that belongs off leash amongst people and dogs.
  14. Re tick panel: TBD can lay dormant for 5-7 years. Sometimes (not always) the platelets and HCT and RBC will be off. Green tinge sounds like an infection of some sort. Did they put him on any antibiotics? You know how he should be acting. Take him back to the vet if you don't think he is improving and let them know you know something is wrong. Most vets will listen to the owner.

    Our Boy, Bear

He has such a sweet spirit. I'm sure Jodie's already baked him a cake.... Sending my sympathy.
  16. Have they done blood work? Are they giving any supplements? Do you have an alternative vet close? Acupuncture can help a lot as can chiropractic (only use certified vets)
  17. I would have gone to the vet with vomitting and diarreha. Sending prayers.
  18. What are the rest of her results? I've had them at 3+ and 4+ and done a protein/creatine ratio and everthing was fine.
  19. What was her BUN? Creatine is fine as long as the BUN is in normal range. T4 sounds low and I'd do a full panel.
  20. She was almost normal last night, a shade off this morning. She is still eating and getting the meds into her. Will take her back to the vet Tuesday (sooner if she regresses).
