I am so sorry! I know it is hard to let them go, but you are doing the right thing for Blackberry. You should adopt again when you are ready. If it is right away, then that is the right time for you. As others have said, I found that adopting Molly has helped both Fletcher and me heal from the loss of Sugar.

Claudia, I am so sorry I missed this! I don't have any first hand experience with Cushings, but I know while you are getting them stabilized it can be scary. Good news is, you know what you are dealing with and it can be treated. for Misty that things go well. Soon she will feeling better and that will make you feel better! -

There is some kind of special pain in loosing the ones who's spirit hasn't given up, but their body fails them. That's when you have to be the grown-up and make the hard decision and it SUCKS! I am so, so sorry.
