  1. well, I am not an expert, but I don't think she will have major nutritional problems on a chicken & cookie diet for a few weeks I do know, when people are switching to raw feeding, the recommendation is often to stick with one protein source, usually chicken for a few weeks before adding variety. Ask your vet, but I'm betting he'll say, feed her whatever she'll eat for now
  2. a harness never worked for Sugar because she hated being helped. It sounds like Lee is ok with being helped, so it should work well for him
  3. Fletcher has done it occasionally, but had an extended bout last night. I figured it had to do with allergies. We are moving into one of our prime allergy seasons here in AZ, my allergy-prone cat and I are starting to react. I will try the throat rubbing next time! Sugar, my old girl, did this all the time, I got used to it since it didn't seem to bother her at all.
  4. glad to hear HRH decided to eat something! I know how frustrating it is, I DID put my fist through the wall well, ok, it just dented the wall, didn't go all the way through, I'm not that strong, but that was surely my intent! Since she does eventually eat, I'm still thinking upset stomach, so I hope the anti-nausea meds start working soon
  5. no experience with puppies, but one of my cats had a broken leg at or shortly after birth. It had already healed when I got her, and she had quite a noticable limp at 3-4 months, but by the time she was a year old, you couldn't tell unless you knew to look for it. She's 9 now, and doesn't limp at all
  6. I glad to hear she did eat some I hope today is better, you just eat Ms Picky Polli!
  7. I still look for Mac's comments too I didn't realise until Molly had been here for a few weeks how much she helped me heal from Sugar's loss. Mac will be sure to send you another great dog!
  8. I am sure we have all lost it at least once when our babies are sick! It sounds like he really is feeling better. The progress may be slow, but it IS progress. I hope the two of you have a good, calm weekend.
  9. I am glad to hear she's eating a little! Sugar always got a pepcid with her pills, twice a day. It really seemed to help.
  10. for you and many :candle for Soul.
  11. I know that frustration all to well Don't worry about nutrition right now, just give her what she'll eat, in 10 small meals if that's what it takes! Sugar lived on vanilla Ensure for days at a time, and while that has calories, it's not great nutrition :candle :candle If you need to, go outside and scream, throw something, do whatever it takes to ease the stress
  12. good news! I hope it is smooth sailing from here on! (yeah, ok , I know the odds, but I am still hoping!)
  13. I am glad he is coming home! I know he will be happier! they have a diagnosis and it's something treatable!
  14. for shredded chicken! I hope the anti-nausea meds will really start to work and let her start eating again
