  1. How devastating. I am so sorry. Rest well, River.
  2. Yikes! That hurts to even look at. I am so glad he's back home where he belongs--speedy healing, Jake!
  3. So glad the surgery was a success. Best wishes for smooth sailing in the coming days and weeks.
  4. Jakey, you've got this! And so does your mom.
  5. Sending good thoughts. I'm so sorry she got that dreaded diagnosis.
  6. Good update and great news from Dr. Couto. You guys continue to be in my thoughts. Hugs to you and to handsome Jake.
  7. Here you go--everyone needs to see how handsome he is! Happy gotcha day/birthday, Charlie!
  8. So sorry you're going through this--I wouldn't be able to sleep either! What a shock. Sending good thoughts for Jake's recovery.
  9. So very sorry for your loss. Rest well, Zander.
  10. I'm so sorry your beautiful girl is gone. Rest well, Mafi.
  11. Such a beauty. So sorry to you and all who love her. Rest well, Bea.
  12. Yep, it's been 70s and even mid-80s (too soon!) here this week--lots of flying pests and creepy crawlies about. Ugh. I like this theory. We've switched to a harness for walks, but on her last out we still do a martingale + leash in the backyard (no off-leash activity in weeks due to her mystery limp--several other threads on that topic). She's eager for her bedtime treat, so she's pretty squirmy when we come back in and remove her collar. Also a distinct possibility! Thanks again, everyone.
  13. Thanks, y'all. The shaking theory makes sense--it's just so weird that it's on the inside, not the outside! She also sometimes falls asleep with her head under a chair or the coffee table, so maybe she bonked it that way. I'll keep an eye out for any spreading. The tattoo helps for scale.
  14. DH noticed this discoloration in Sweep's ear this morning. Seems an odd place for a bruise, but I suppose it's possible. Cause for concern? She hasn't been messing with it.
  15. I look forward to the next installment of "follow the leader" with Ryder. We have a Dogtopia just a few minutes away--I must say, now I'm intrigued!
  16. BTW, he looks like he's walking well too--are you seeing improvement with the limping?
  17. It's sort of mesmerizing to watch them all. He'll be tired later from being upright so long!
  18. A lovely tribute to a special, oh-so-handsome boy. I am so sorry for your loss. Rest well, Heisman.
  19. Maybe spring allergies? Not sure where you're located, but everything here is blooming and it's equal parts beautiful and miserable. Hope they feel better soon!
  20. I agree with time plus Feliway. One of my cats, Olive, hid in a closet and vomited daily for a week when we first got Sweep. We didn't know if we'd be able to keep Sweep. Feliway plug-ins and catnip helped a lot. Olive still kept her distance for several weeks, but within a few months she was rolling around on the floor, belly exposed, just a few inches away from Sweep. You won't see them all cuddled up together at my house, but they do coexist peacefully.
