  1. What a beautiful tribute to your handsome boy! It's obvious he was loved by some many….kids, cats, your other greys, mom & dad. He must have had such a happy life. I'm sorry for your loss.
  2. Wow, 20 years….he must have been the happiest boy. I'm so sorry for your daughter's loss, and your's too.
  3. She was a beautiful little girl and your tribute to her was beautiful too. Her name suited her sweet little face. I'm so sorry she had to leave you.
  4. What a jerk! You kind of expect people's doctors to be jerks (not all are of course, but some are), but not vets! And $1,000 for a dental? What the heck? Is she getting gold caps on her teeth or something? Good grief!! I hope you are able to find another that treats you and Corinna with respect and concern and that is more competent than this vet seemed to be.
  5. I'm so sorry for the loss of your special baby Comet.
  6. I'm so very sorry for your loss of such a special boy.
  7. I'm sorry this is a tough time. This may seem like too simple of a solution, but have you tried the Canine Lullabies Heartbeat Therapy CDs?GPA in Houston often suggests using them (they sell them too!). I have no personal interest in this company, just so you know. The company offers free copies to rescue organizations. Here's a link http://www.caninelullabies.com If you use amazon prime, this item is available with free 2 day shipping BTW, he's a good looking boy!
  8. I'm hoping for a little advice on the best combination of heart worm, flea, & tick prevention to use. We just moved to Baltimore and I'm under the impression that tick prevention might be more critical here than it was in Houston. Our 3 were taking trifexis only. I have switched them to Sentinel + K9Advantix. The only problem is that they seem to not like the advantix. It can be as long as 2 weeks after I apply it and they are still very sensitive when I pet the area or around the area where it was applied. It makes them do that weird little wiggle like something tickles or is in some way not a good feeling. They took frontline several years ago before trifexis came out so this is not the first time they have had a topical prevention. Any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance for your input!
  9. Oh my goodness! There are no words for how cute that little girl is!! Congratulations!
  10. I'm so sorry for your loss. He is such a handsome boy.
  11. Bella had this problem almost 2 years ago. We were finally able to get rid of the hookworms by treating with panacur first and then strongid every 2 weeks. I think that's right. I know she got at least that, but she may have also gotten another dose of panacur along the way. We felt like it was just impossible to get rid of them, but this finally did the trick. It's worth asking your vet about for sure. Good luck!
  12. Have you tried a "comfy cone"? It's like the cone of shame but the material is flexible so it doesn't stick straight out. It works just as well. It ties around the neck. I have had to tie it to Ian's collar because you have to get a size that's too big so it's long enough. There is also the Bite Not collar. Good luck! I hope your little girl heals well and quickly.
