  1. Thank you so much for your kind words. This is just tearing my heart out. I know almost everyone on the forum can relate, so no need for me to explain.
  2. Beachbum1, that is a really beautiful box. I hope it always brings warm and loving memories of Taylor. Lisa
  3. Thank you all for your suggestions. I really appreciate your advice.
  4. Hi all, i haven’t posted in a really long time, nor have I even looked at the forum much in the past 3 years ever since Ian passed away. I just haven’t been able to do it. The joy these dogs bring us is immeasurable, but so is the heartbreak. Sadly, we anticipate that we will soon have to say goodbye to our 12 year old beautiful girl, Bella. Osteo is suspected. We aren’t going to do a biopsy, but will repeat xrays in 2 more weeks. We have already had 2 sets that we have been following. I am just wondering if anyone has had experience with personalized urns or memory boxes that have pictures on them and if there are any that you might recommend. Thank you all, Lisa
  5. Try not to worry too much. I’m sure this is both frustrating and worrisome since you just adopted your sweet Obi. Something similar happened with our boy, Ian. He had an old racing injury (we assumed) on one of his back pinky toes. He would limp an whine and hold up his foot. After conservative treatment, we did wind up having that toe amputated, but it was not a big deal at all and we are huge worriers so don’t think we took this lightly. He healed quickly and had no more trouble with it after that. Ian was VERY vocal if he had the slightest pain, so if there were any residual pain we would have known. Try not to worry or be too alarmed. Do try to see another vet sooner than August or whenever that was and make sure he or she is greyhound savvy. Enjoy getting to know Obi. Greyhounds will steal your heart in a second!
  6. I am so very sorry for the loss of your sweet boy. I hope you can find some comfort in knowing that your presence when he left must have made him feel so loved until the very end. Run free sweet Clifford
  7. We have paid, but more like $14, not $140. Did your friend ask if the amount was correct? Maybe someone made a simple error. That's insane!!
  8. I'm so sorry for your loss. She is such a beautiful girl.
  9. Bellla LOVES her baby pool! I wonder if Rock could learn to get in his pool and enjoy it if he was with another greyhound that did. Is there a greyhound playgroup in your area that you could take him to so he could play and cool off in pools with other greyhounds? It's funny how they copy behavior of other dogs. Maybe that will help. Good luck!
  10. Such a beautiful tribute and such a beautiful girl. I'm so sorry for your loss.
  11. I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful, special girl. Spriet was my favorite. I can't really explain it, but you could just see how special she was just by looking at pictures on this forum. I always loved the picture you posted of her in front of a mirror. It was beautiful because she was. I'm so sorry.
  12. He IS perfect! I love all of his pictures, especially the ones that show his teef!
  13. I'm sorry for the loss of your sweet princess.
  14. Oh, I'm so sorry for your loss
