  1. This morning's update sounds like a turn for the better. You said you have tilapia in the freezer. Try that, I remember when Robin went through hideous bouts of IBD with her Beau, tilapia is what she finally found out he enjoyed eating and it worked for him. Then again, a life of actual cookies and pizza sounds kind of fun for a little bit.
  2. This is what I have been thinking. All of my girls have been talkers. Eddi has gone through a lot of changes lately, if whining/talking is soothing to her, she may well just be doing what she is used to doing. I would definitely have her vetted though.

    Donovan

I am so very sorry for the loss of your boy. Godspeed, Donovan.
  6. No advice, just lots of good thoughts and prayers. I would second the Dr. Couto consult.
  7. I am so very sorry. Fly fast and free, Pepper.
  8. Thanks! Probably too hard for her to eat. I did by the water additive. I will give it a "one box" try to see if it does anything.
  9. I am so very sorry. Roxy was adorable. Fly fast and free, Roxy.
  10. Wren pictures always make me smile. It is such a gift to get so much time with them. I am so very sorry that Wren had to leave you. Fly fast and free, Wren.
  11. Are they hard treats? Aquitaine has only 6 teeth left but I would sure like to keep those in good shape. I do brush but she would much rather eat a treat!
  12. I am so very sorry. Fly fast and dfree, Tori.
  13. No knowledge at all but lots of good thoughts and prayers.
  14. Agree about the high quality protein. I actually add in some Fresh Pet sliced food to the Purina NF kibble. The Fresh Pet people were very responsive to me when I requested information about the phosphorous level as it is not icluded on their label. The level is low enough for the food to work and she absolutely adores it. It is the same beef and vegetables that I use when I cook for her but less costly than high quality ground beef and turkey is here in NYC and no time involvement on my part.
  15. My heart hurts for Carol's mother. I will keep her in my prayers. Fly fast and free, Carol.
  16. Was it an actual bite or more of a nibble? I ask because I have a nitter -- she will chatter and will actually nibble at/on people she likes when she is happy. She took to my uncle the day she met him and nibbled on his arm. He knew what it was, and was teasing but he did say "I am going to sue you because your dog just bit me." It definitely made me work on her nitting. She rarely does it anymore and then only to me.
  17. Aquitaine actually likes the K/D canned food! I also give her the Purina Kidney Diet kibble. She didn't like it the first time so we did only the canned K/D for the first 15 months until I tried it again and she decided she really likes it. I appreciate that because while it is far costlier than her old kibble, it is far less costly than the K/D canned.
