Definitely listen to tbhounds. For now, feed her anything that will get her to eat. Her interest needs to be brought back to eating. Make it special for her. You are probably doing this already, but just in case, have you tried brushing her teeth? Maybe the toothpaste/gel would help to remove any remaining skunk taste from her mouth. Their sense of smell and taste is so much higher than ours that between the remainder on her nose, and any in her mouth, it just may be totally turning her off. Maybe handfeeding some particularly tempting treats would start her. I know that my girl goes through periods where she has to have "breakfast in bed". It slows me down in the morning but it gets her eating. Crumbling one or two of her freeze dried treats on top also helps.

I have just read this whole thread. I can't tell you how sorry I am that you all went through this experience. Duke was certainly a fighter and knew he was loved by his family. My heart just hurts for you. Godspeed, Duke.

Please feel free to contact Animal Medical Center and share your feelings. They are high. No question. They are, however, the best available care for my girl and that is what she deserves.

A similar dental for my girl last year was over $4,000. One of the joys of living in NYC. Multiple extractions, one that required very careful removal as the roots had wrapped around a vein and caused severe blood loss (of course over the weekend so there was the $1,500 evet visit). I completely trust the practice and they are good about my sitting in the hospital all day and they come out to give me updates. I don't really need to eat or go out anyway.
